computer education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of students. Recognizing this need, Atal Utkrisht Government Inter College, Kanara has established a well-equipped Computer Lab to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The lab is equipped with functional desktop computers, internet connectivity, and basic software applications, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with modern technology.

The school offers computer education from the secondary level onward, where students are taught fundamentals such as basic computer operations, typing skills, internet usage, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and an introduction to programming and coding concepts. The curriculum is aligned with the Uttarakhand Board’s ICT syllabus, ensuring students are well-prepared for both academic and practical needs.

The lab maintains a student–computer ratio that allows effective participation, and students are guided by a qualified computer instructor who helps them learn both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. Safety protocols and proper supervision are maintained during all lab sessions. The Computer Lab not only enhances digital literacy among students but also builds confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. It serves as a stepping stone for those aspiring to pursue careers in the fields of technology, science, and innovation.

In the future, the school plans to upgrade its lab with more advanced systems, multimedia tools, and access to e-learning platforms, thereby ensuring that students from rural areas have equal access to modern education.
